WHO WE ARE
Tradition and Technology since 1964
Sodi Scientifica was founded in 1964 by Fiorello and Carla Sodi, two pioneers with a clear vision: to innovate road safety.
Just two years later, in 1966, they introduced the first model of Autovelox® — a revolutionary device that would change the way speed control is managed around the world.
Autovelox® soon became part of the Italian vocabulary, used as a synonym for “speed camera”.
This groundbreaking innovation not only helped reduce road fatalities but also established Sodi Scientifica as a leading name in high-performance traffic enforcement systems.
The success of Autovelox® marked the beginning of a journey that transformed a small family business into a global leader in road safety solutions.

We create solutions to safeguard human lives
Our mission is to improve road safety, because we deeply believe that it’s needed. There are still too many victims on our roads. We offer the best solutions for traffic control and speed enforcement.
We also partner with non–profit organizations to host training events on the themes of Road Safety and invite industry experts as guest speakers to share their stories and knowledge

Sodi Scientifica is internationally recognized as a leading company in the design and production of high-performance road safety systems.
We currently operate in Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, Canada, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru, among other countries.
In Singapore, Sodi Scientifica’s speed cameras have been successfully installed inside the tunnels of the KPE (Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway) and the MCE (Marina Coastal Expressway).

It is a fact that our products help reduce road fatalities. However, enforcement alone is not enough for effective road safety prevention. We believe that educating citizens about the risks of speeding is essential. For this reason, we actively partner with NGOs and authorities on impactful social projects that drive education and significantly raise public awareness.
